They were married on July 4, 1981, in Vienna, Va., and have returned to Hatteras every year on their anniversary. engagement is announcedDick and Sandra Tunnell of Swan Quarter, N.C., are honored to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Vivian, to Brian Wilton Carter, son of Nettie Carter and the late Rev. Aaron Carter of Mocksville, N.C. Jamie is a graduate of Meredith College. She is the office manager for the Ocracoke Health Center and the part-time public information officer for Hyde County government. Brian is a graduate of the EMS Management Institute at UNC-Charlotte and has a background in engineering from North Carolina State University. He is the lead paramedic for Hyde County Emergency Medical Services and the Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator in Ocracoke. The wedding is planned for September, 2011, in Swan Quarter. Formal invitations will be mailed. |
