begin its spring schedule Tuesday, April 19, at its Cedar

Beginning Tuesday, the schedule will be as follows:
Swan Quarter-Ocracoke route:
Departing Swan Quarter at 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and
Departing Ocracoke at 6:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
Cedar Island-Ocracoke route:
Departing Cedar Island at 7 a.m., 10, 12:30 p.m., 3:30, 6 and 8:30, and
Departing Ocracoke at 7:30 a.m., 10, 1 p.m., 3:30, 6 and 8:30.
NCDOT awarded contracts to build two new sound-cClass vessels to serve
this route to Orange Shipbuilding Co. The new ferries are
currently under construction and are expected to be delivered later
this year and in 2012.
