Spa Koru makes donation to Kiwanis Club
Grace
Souter, assistant director of Spa Koru in Avon, presents a check for
$150 to Norm Campbell, treasurer of the Kiwanis Club of Hatteras
Island. The employees at Spa Koru decided that instead of doing a
"secret Santa" and exchanging gifts for Christmas that they would all
toss the money into a pot and donate it to a worthwhile organization on
Hatteras Island. The Kiwanis Club’s stated purpose is to
improve the quality of life for children and families on Hatteras
Island. The Kiwanis Club thanks Spa Koru.
The
Kiwanis Club of Hatteras Island meets each Wednesday at 7:45 am at the

"The summer season is, of course, the busiest time of year for us and

college students to spend their summer working at the beach and
gaining on-the-job training and experience in the hospitality
field," asked Amy Helle, the company's vice president for
administration.
Abby Hooper, assistant property manager, graduated from ECU with a hospitality management degree.
"We recognize the need for qualified and ambitious employees in the
hospitality field and are excited at the opportunities available
through a partnership with ECU," said Amy Helle.
