Workbook comments on ORV management
now available to public

Mike Murray, superintendent of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, has announced that the summary of options from the preliminary Alternative Options Workbook (Workbook) for the Off-Road Vehicle Management Plan/Environmental Impact Statement is available to the public.

In January 2008, in order to facilitate public comment on preliminary alternatives, the National Park Service prepared a workbook describing a variety of management elements and options.  The workbook was introduced to the general public at a series of public meetings in Buxton, Kill Devil Hills, Raleigh, and Richmond, Va. in January, 2008.  The comment period, originally set to end on Jan. 31, 2008, was then extended until Feb. 15.
